It takes a village to raise an athlete.

Youth sports can cost a family $5,000 to $10,000 a year. Fundify gives grandparents, aunts, uncles and close friends a meaningful way to contribute, monthly or as a one-time contribution, and to follow every game along the way.

Fundify opens to families by invitation. Leave your email and we’ll let you know when it’s your turn.

We’ll only use your email to tell you about Fundify’s launch.

The Fundify app dashboard: supporters like Aunt Jo with her note and a Thanked tag, the athlete pages for Mia and Leo, then total and monthly support.

How Fundify works

A page for your child, shared with the few people who care most. A small circle can make a real impact. Not a public fundraiser.

  1. 1

A parent sets up the page

In the Fundify app, a parent or legal guardian creates their child’s page with photos, a short story in the family’s words and their sport. Their identity and bank account are verified by our payment processor before any gift can be received.

  2. 2

    Accept monthly or one-time contributions

Grandparents and close friends open the link the parent shares and contribute each month, or make a one-time contribution for a birthday or a big tournament, often more impactful than another present. Monthly gifts can be changed or cancelled at any time.

  3. 3

    Everyone follows along

Parents post scores, photos and videos, some just for monthly supporters, and send a thank-you to each person who gives.

Where the money goes

Contributions go to the child’s family for the costs of their sport. Our payment processor sends each gift to the family’s account, and Fundify keeps none of it.

Card fee shown upfront
The processing fee is shown before you give, and supporters can choose to cover it.

How payments workFinancial disclosures

Made with children’s privacy in mind

These pages are about children, so we keep them small and quiet by design.

First name and last initial
In public a child is “Mia R.”, never their full name.
Hidden from search engines
Pages are reached by the link the parent shares, not by searching.
Some updates for supporters only
Parents choose which posts everyone sees and which only monthly supporters see.
Parents are in charge
Children don’t have accounts. Parents decide what’s shared and can take a page down at any time.

Questions

Is Fundify a fundraiser or a charity?

Neither. It isn’t a public campaign and it isn’t a charity. A page is shared by the parent with a handful of people they know, and gifts go to the family to help with real costs like lessons, gear, entry fees and travel.

How do I receive the money?

When you set up your page, our payment processor verifies your identity and your bank account. Gifts are then paid out to that account. Fundify keeps no part of them.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

No. Gifts go to a family, not a charity, so they aren’t tax-deductible donations.

Can I change or cancel a monthly gift?

Yes, at any time, at myfundify.com/manage or from the link in any receipt. We email you a one-time code to sign in, or email us and we’ll do it for you.

What does Fundify cost?

Fundify takes no platform fee from gifts. Card payments carry a processing fee, which is shown before you give; supporters can choose to cover it, otherwise it comes out of the gift.

How is my child’s information protected?

In public your child is shown by first name and last initial, pages are hidden from search engines, and you choose which updates only monthly supporters can see. Full names are only visible to you.
